U.S. Army spams soldiers to test gullibility

With friends like these who needs enemas

The U.S. Army has reportedly been sending spam emails to service members to see how naïve they are.

The spam offered free tickets to theme parks, and has miffed the Army Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Command that was implicated in the exercise.

The mail was sent from something that looked like an MWR address and it asked for personal information, such as name, address, phone number and e-mail address. When MWR saw the email it warned everyone it was a scam and warned people not to take part. This totally stuffed up the military exercise.

The test was conducted by U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) and U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM).
